Welcome to our Inaugural newsletter Our first of many news updates at K9 Carts...
K9 Carts has been making carts for over 45 years, but we are just starting to take advantage of what the web has to offer our four-legged friends. Do you often come to our website looking for fitting hints, a new accessory for your pet, or information on your pet's disease? Well, we are trying hard to have what you need online at www.k-9cart.com. Want to learn how to put your pet's feet in the foot slings? Or how to get the best fit? It is all available at our forum including a special forum devoted to K9 Cart owners.
Can't find what you are looking for in our forums and FAQ? Send us your comments or questions. The best new question will be featured in our next newsletter as well as online.

Roo: Dachshund with birth defect overcomes disability Not just chihuahuas are born without forelimbs...
While much more unusual to see a dachshund with only stumps for forelimbs, "Roo" came to K9 Carts in Oxford, MD in December 2008. She was just precious and quickly won our hearts as she had her owners. One of the challenges with forelimb carts is to get the pet fitted early before they become accustomed

to walking only on their hindlimbs. Another challenge is that, since we are working with a growing puppy, the cart will need to be adjusted as "Roo" grows. So Roo came to us for a second fitting in February where we adjusted her cart to accommodate her growing body. We really didn't mind, since she is so cute. It also gave us a chance to get a short clip of video. Click here to see Roo's video. |

K-9 Cart News & Events: Degenerative Myelopathy Testing
|
|
We've tested our K-9 E-Z Sling rear harness on many pets that have visited our workshop. We are pleased to announce a more comfortable and easier to adjust rear harness that is simple to get on and off your pet. The handgrips are now smaller to fit petite hands. Furthermore, they have rigidity yet are moldable to fit the shape of your hands. The same handgrip feature has been extended to the leg ring portion of the harness. Thus, you can mold it to your dogs legs or let nature take its course. The fit on your dog will only improve with time. Despite all these new features, the cost is still the same. Available in small and large size. See more...
